Weight loss and taking control of your health is no easy feat. It requires self-belief, motivation, self-discipline, action, hard work, persistence, consistency and sacrifice. A common factor that gets forgotten about in the journey to good health is sacrifice. We’re willing to work hard, take action and persist in the journey but we don’t want to let go of what we’ve already got. This can come in the form of financial sacrifice and investing money towards your health, social sacrifice and saying ‘no’ to events that may sabotage your goals, time sacrifice and putting in the hours to exercise and meal prep, and many other forms of sacrifice that require us to give something up in which we strongly value. Though difficult to give up, achieving our goals without sacrifice is like crossing the ocean without losing sight of the shore. With this knowledge, consider this today – What have you been holding onto that is anchoring you to the very shoreline you want to leave?
